Carlo Bevilacqua, photographer and documentary film director, born in Palermo, Sicily in 1961. Mention of Honour in the International Photographic Awards 2008 and 2009 ,in America Photo 2008, in Tau Visual Professional Prize for Creativity 2008, winner of the HF Prize in SI Fest Savignano Immagini 2008 ( Indian Stills ), his career has spanned more than twenty years, alternating photography and direction of documentaries and video clips. He started taking pictures in Palermo in the 80’s, originally focusing on societal and anthropological photographic studies. He moved to Paris and then to Milan where he started working with magazines, advertising and public relations agencies, creating photography spreads, advertising campaigns, videos and films for major Italian and international companies.
He has also directed various documentaries video clips. including, Little Red Robin Hood a biographic documentary, directed together with F. Di Loreto, about Robert Wyatt, Soft Machine’s singer and drummer, with Elvis Costello, Brian Eno, Paul Weller and Nick Mason –
With his works has attended in various films and photo festivals

The book In Italia, a black and white photographic journey through eleven italian towns published by Federico Motta Editore for Antonveneta Bank and with a Mario Botta text , selected to partecipate
and displayed at Prize for the Photographic book at Photography Festival of Rome 2008 and at the Rencontres International de la Photographie Arles 2008
Big Sister, Because of You a documentary on a Prague Live Internet BrHotel based on the photographic work of the the Czech photographer Hana Jakrlova.
Gisbert Lippelt Low Cost Life a photographic work on the sustainable living of a former German ship officer in a cave at Filicudi, a small island in the middle of the Mediteranean sea featured at the FotoGrafia Rome Festival 2009
